With over 400 playing members from 4 years up, South Northumberland Cricket Club is one of the largest and most popular in the area, with 9 junior teams & 5 senior teams, including 2 ladies teams. The majority of our coaches are current or ex Durham players, bringing an incredibly high standard of coaching and developement to our young members.
Newcastle Cricket Centre
Welcome to the Newcastle Cricket Centre. The Newcastle Cricket Centre is the first cricket specific centre in the North East, and ranks as one of the top ten cricket centres in the UK.
The centre is built within the grounds of South Northumberland Cricket Club in Gosforth, Newcastle upon Tyne. With five individual lanes it comes fully equipped with the state-of-the-art video analysis and so provides an excellent environment for coaching and development.

Lashings World XI Return To South Northumberland CC
Following the temendous success of last year South Northumberland CC will once again be hosting the Lashings World XI on Wednesday 2nd July
Lashings was founded in 1984 and fields a team containing a number of international cricketing legends. A selection of the players who represented Lashings in 2007 includes: Sachin Tendulkar (India), Richie Richardson, Gordon Greendge, Courtney Walsh (West Indies), Chris Cairns (New Zealand) and Aravinda de Silva (Sri Lanka). Although details of the 2007 squad have not yet been released, the team that plays against South North will be packed with household names.
Tickets are on sale now from the General Office or the Clubhouse Bar. Tickets cost £5 per person in advance or £7.50 on the day
We are delighted to announce that a corporate hospitality package is available for the day at a price of £60 + VAT a head (£600 + VAT for a table of 10) which will comprise the following:
A 4 course lunch in the Newcastle Cricket Centre for a table of 10:
Speeches made by certain of the Lashings players;
An auction of cricketing memorabilia;
Traditional cricketing tea at the end of the match;
Reserved seats for the day in front of the Newcastle Cricket Centre;
Access to a “corporate-only” bar in the Newcastle Cricket Centre
